PRCA APAC launches Corporate Affairs Forum and Gold Standard Awards Awards 2025

PRCA APAC and PublicAffairsAsia will host the Corporate Affairs Forum and Gold Standard Awards on Wednesday, 8 th October 2025, at the American Club in Singapore.

This year’s theme, ‘Globalisation: What’s Next?’, will address geopolitical tensions, economic protectionism, and shifts in global supply chains, examining their impact on organisations in the Asia Pacific region. Bringing together influential voices in the corporate affairs, public affairs, government relations and communications fields, the Forum seeks to examine the shifting rules of engagement and provide insights on how public affairs and communications leaders can stay ahead, connected and resilient in an era of global uncertainty.

Following the Forum, the Gold Standard Awards 2025 will commence to recognise achievements in 25 categories, including stakeholder engagement, crisis management, media relations, and corporate social responsibility. The awards are open to agencies, corporations, NGOs and governmental organisations in Asia Pacific and the Middle East, with entries judged by a panel of industry leaders.

Ed Burleigh, Head of PRCA APAC, stated, "These back-to-back events are a real highlight in our annual calendar. This year I'm hoping to see an increase in attendees and award entries from across both APAC and MENA. Amidst the current geopolitical landscape, our theme this year promises to be particularly thought provoking and we can’t wait to announce the final lineup of speakers”.

IABC APAC announces winners of Communicator of the Year Awards 2025

The International Association of Business Communicators - Asia Pacific Region (IABC APAC) has announced the recipients of the Communicator of the Year Awards 2025.

Syed Mohammed Idid, General Manager of Strategic Communications and Stakeholder Engagement at West Coast Expressway (WCE) Malaysia, has emerged as the winner in the Senior Communication Professional of the Year category. Donald Lim, Chief Operating Officer of DITO CME Holdings Corporation in the Philippines, has been crowned winner in the Executive Leader category.

Naeema Ismail takes the helm at the independent marketing consultancy

The Marketing Room has appointed Naeema Ismail as Chief Executive Officer to lead its Singapore business.

She brings more than three decades of experience in communications, marketing, and brand strategy across Asia. Prior to this, Naeema led FINN Partners’ Singapore office, where she strengthened its PR and strategic communications practice.

Throughout her career, she has advised C-suite leaders and guided communications strategies for brands including IBM, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Pfizer, Nike, Airbus, AIA, Autodesk, and the Singapore Tourism Board.
