Steve Bond to lead comms for AFC Women's Asian Cup 2026

Steve Bond has taken up a secondment as Executive General Manager of Communications for the Local Organising Committee of the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026. He moves into the role from Destination NSW, where he joined in 2024 as Associate Director of Corporate Communications.

Steve brings two decades of experience in the sports sector, having previously held senior communications roles for the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup, spent eight years at Chelsea Football Club, and held various positions at UK press agency Sportsbeat.
