Startup-focused comms firm makes Singapore debut

Strategic communications consultancy, ACID, has launched in Singapore.

The consultancy works closely with founders from across AI-driven sectors - such as enterprise tech and deep tech to cybersecurity and finance - to develop narratives, build reputational capital and articulate their story to key stakeholders.A

Its services include narrative development and messaging strategy, media relations and running a press office, C-suite advisory including media training and executive positioning programs, brand management, employer branding, internal communications programs, stakeholder engagement, and crisis management - delivered on a project basis or retainers designed for the specific needs of a startup.

"Many early-stage founders still think comms is something you invest in after you've raised or hit scale. But by then, you're playing catch-up," said Chester Tan, Founder and CEO at ACID.

"Articulating your narrative with intention from the get-go becomes leverage very soon, helping you earn trust with regulators, cultivate your influence in your industry, attract the right partners, and lower your acquisition costs. These accelerate the creation of shareholder value, which is why we believe early-stage founders should bring comms to the table as soon as they've nailed product-market fit and begun acquiring users."

Having advised founders and senior leaders from across startups and global consultancies in the FinTech, finance, and tech spaces, Chester brings with him a decade of communications experience, spanning advertising, brand management, journalism, public relations, and corporate communications.
