Softball Australia appoints GM for 2027 Women's Softball World Cup

Softball Australia has named Alex Dandanis as its General Manager for the 2027 Women's Softball World Cup. In her new role, she will focus on leading stakeholder engagement, legacy-building, operational planning, communications, and elevating the visibility of women’s sport. Alex will also be seeking partnerships with brands looking for activations during the World Cup.

She was previously Head of Impact and Engagement at the Office for Women in Sport and Recreation at the Victorian Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions. Prior to this, Alex held a number of comms roles within the health and sports sectors.

The Hoffman Agency has made two senior appointments in its Singapore office to strengthen client servicing across multiple geographies.

Akansha Rai (pictured left) has been appointed Senior Vice President, Client Partnerships. Anya Phillips has been promoted to Account Director at PR and brand engagement agency, Campaign Lab. She joined the team in 2023, relocating from the UK to Sydney, Australia.

Anya has worked at agencies including Ketchum and Edelman, and has supported global brands such as Samsung, Adobe, OPPO, and Colgate.

Hilton has appointed Navender Kaur as Director of Public Relations and Communications (National Marketing Office). Based in Malaysia, she leads integrated PR and communications across Hilton’s portfolio, driving brand visibility, media engagement, and storytelling.

Navender brings industry experience from her previous roles at A Famosa Resort Melaka, Swiss Garden Hotel & Residences Melaka, Swiss-Garden International and Big Bad Wolf Books.

She transitioned from a legal background into public relations more than a decade ago, and has since built a track record in strengthening brand presence and ensuring Hilton’s communications remain confident, consistent and aligned with its brand identity.
