Sinclair strengthens integrated comms offering with two senior appointments

Sinclair, an independent integrated marketing communications consultancy, has promoted Joyce Lai to Director - Consumer, and appointed Calvin Choi as Director - Corporate Communications. Both join the agency’s leadership team, based at its Hong Kong headquarters and reporting to Founder & CEO Kiri Sinclair, with responsibility for market-specific and regional client mandates.

Joyce joined Sinclair in 2018 and was previously Associate Director. She has developed integrated programmes spanning travel, hospitality, consumer and lifestyle, with expertise in social storytelling, influencer strategy and experience design.

Her client leadership includes Booking.com, MoreTickets and Longines Hong Kong International Horse Show. Leading both APAC regional mandates and Hong Kong retainers, Joyce has expanded client remits and nurtured long-term relationships. In her new role, she leads strategic direction, client development and team growth across an integrated team for consumer brands.

Calvin brings more than 13 years of experience across corporate storytelling, stakeholder engagement and multi-market communications. He joins from Weber Shandwick, where he was Account Director, driving communications impact for clients such as Riot Games and Tata Communications.

His experience spans property, innovation and technology, professional and financial services, and gaming, with assignments across Hong Kong, the Chinese mainland, Singapore and the wider APAC region. At Sinclair, Calvin leads an integrated communications team serving clients including Central Crossing, Hong Kong Talent Engage and SLD. He oversees corporate clients’ local and regional mandates from Hong Kong.

“Joyce’s promotion recognises her contribution to our clients and team, from growing long-term relationships to leading integrated programmes. Calvin brings deep corporate communications experience and a strong track record across markets. Both bring the cultural fluency and strategic depth clients need right now, with a shared focus on communications that drive real business outcomes. Together, they strengthen our leadership team and the flexible, senior-led and collaborative approach clients can expect from Sinclair,” said Kiri Sinclair, Founder & CEO.

Joyce and Calvin work together across strategy, creative development and delivery, aligning consumer and corporate expertise around the agency’s clients’ business and communications objectives.

Linda added: “We both bring over 20 years of experience managing complex situations for many of the world's best-known financial institutions and public and private companies.
