Shalaka Paradkar takes on in-house role

Shalaka Paradkar has joined DAMAC Group in Dubai as Senior Corporate Communications Manager. She brings over two decades of experience across agency, corporate and media environments. She has previously worked with PR agencies Gambit PR & Communications and BPG Group, where her content portfolio included global brands such as Samsung, Amazon, DHL, KPMG, Proofpoint and Sony.

Shalaka began her career in journalism and has held senior editorial roles at Khaleej Times and ITP, bringing a newsroom mindset to corporate storytelling. She has contributed to Vogue Arabia, AD Middle East, The Hollywood Reporter, Time Out, and Gulf News’ Friday magazine.

Sidney started his career as a journalist covering Chinese political economy and finance for English-language media outlets, including the South China Morning Post, Foreign Policy Magazine and National Public Radio.
