Rio Tinto has elevated Andrew Burrell and Zoey Patmore in Perth to General Manager, Corporate Communications, and Communications Business Partner, Pilbara Mines, respectively.
Andrew joined the team in 2021 as General Manager, External Affairs & Communications, Rio Tinto Iron Ore. He previously worked within the government sector, following his time as senior journalist at The Australian and The Australian Financial Review.
Zoey has been with the team since 2024, and was previously Communications Business Partner, Operational & Technical Support and Supply Chain & Services. Her in-house experience spans the utilities, construction and chemical manufacturing sectors, and she's also worked agency-side at Cannings Purple.
