PRINZ announces newly elected executive committee

The Public Relations Institute of New Zealand (PRINZ) has revealed its new executive committee, following elections at its AGM in May 2025.

The committee comprises newly elected members, Celia Crosbie APR and Travis Logan APR, who join returning committee members, Jacquie Boer APR FPRINZ, Morwenna Mitson-Grills APR, and Eruini Paranihi for the coming year. Morwenna has been elected as PRINZ Chair and Jacquie as PRINZ Deputy Chair.

Morwenna is a communications and engagement leader with a background in broadcast journalism. Her contribution to PRINZ include leading its Central Division Committee, providing mentorship to APR candidates, and judging the annual PRINZ Awards for the past five years.

Jacquie is a PRINZ Fellow and has 30 years of experience in advertising, journalism and public relations. She is currently the Principal of WPR, where she works with various clients across Aotearoa with a focus on providing reputation management across the infrastructure, forestry and agriculture sectors.

On her appointment, Morwenna commented: "I can't thank PRINZ members enough for the warm welcome and ongoing support I've had since arriving in Aotearoa ten years ago. As a migrant to this wonderful country, PRINZ was an excellent way to get to know people and learn more about what best practice looks like at a local level. To now be elected Chair is a real honour, particularly with such a fantastic group of practitioners on the Committee.

"It's always an exciting time for us in our profession, and right now there are a whole heap of opportunities alongside some tricky challenges to navigate. PRINZ will continue to do its best to be at the forefront of supporting members to be at the top of their game and continue to advocate for the value of ethical communicators."

We. Communications unveils AI solution to track and shape generative search presence

We. Communications has introduced GEO Compass, a tool designed to help organisations understand, measure, and shape how their brand’s story is represented in AI-driven search results.

The launch comes as Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) becomes an emerging focus for communicators.

According to the agency, the platform allows communications leaders to assess their brand’s current footprint in AI-generated answers and build strategies to strengthen visibility and resonance. It combines diagnostic briefings with a strategic roadmap and ongoing optimisation, giving organisations a framework to improve presence and accuracy in a rapidly changing environment.

Daniel Blank, EVP and Head of Digital Innovation, EMEA, said: “People are no longer clicking through pages of results; they’re getting one AI-generated answer - and if you're not part of that answer, you are invisible. GEO Compass ensures that when AI responds, your brand’s story is represented accurately, credibly and with influence.”

GEO Compass is part of We.’s AI Accelerator suite, which also includes AI Academy and AI Storymaking, supporting communications teams in integrating AI responsibly into their workflows.
