PRCA APAC has launched its Rising Professionals Network, bringing together emerging communications professionals from across the region to help shape conversations around the future of the industry.
Chaired by Noemie Viterale, Manager at APAC Advisors, the network brings together professionals from Singapore, the Philippines, Malaysia and Japan. It will focus on ensuring the perspectives and priorities of the industry's next generation are represented within PRCA APAC and the wider profession.
The network will focus on issues shaping early and mid-career professionals, from artificial intelligence and changing career paths to commercial skills, public affairs, leadership and the evolving expectations of the communications profession.
Plans include practical workshops, thought leadership, engagement with schools, polytechnics, colleges and universities, collaboration with industry leaders, and opportunities for rising professionals to have a greater voice at PRCA APAC events.
The group has already launched its first initiative, Next Gen Wire, a new Substack platform giving rising professionals a space to share their perspectives on issues affecting communications, PR and public affairs.
Commenting on the launch, Noemie said: “There’s so much changing in our industry, from AI and geopolitics to the way communications, public affairs and other disciplines are increasingly coming together. Rising professionals should be part of those conversations, not just listening in
”The network is about creating a space to share what we’re seeing and learning, learn from those with more experience, and bring our own perspectives to the conversation about where the profession is heading”
Tara Munis, Head of PRCA Asia Pacific, added: “The future of our industry should not be shaped without the people who will be leading it next. We want the Rising Professionals Network to give emerging talent a genuine voice within PRCA APAC, while also giving them access to the experience, networks and practical skills that can help them progress.
“This is also about bringing different generations of the industry together. Rising professionals have valuable perspectives on AI, changing audience behaviours and emerging platforms, while experienced leaders can share their knowledge around leadership, commercial skills and career development.”
