Independent communications agency, One Plus One Communications, has announced the appointment of Esther Robinson as Director of Government Relations. The hire signals the agency's arrival in Wellington, alongside the launch of a dedicated government relations offering.
One Plus One said that its on-the-ground presence in Wellington allows it to provide its clients with greater connection to the parliamentary precinct and high-level strategic counsel on regulatory and public policy matters.
In her new role, Esther will establish and lead the Government Relations practice, working across new and existing clients spanning professional services, finance, technology, and other sectors. She brings experience in government relations and public affairs across politics, communications, and corporate advisory. Most recently at Acumen, Esther previously served as a Senior Political Advisor during the Fifth and Sixth Labour Governments.
One Plus One Communications Managing Director, Kelly Bennett, said the appointment of Esther represents a landmark moment for the agency.
"Esther's appointment is a significant step forward for One Plus One. Our clients are increasingly operating in environments shaped by policy. Having senior, Wellington-based expertise allows us to contribute and operate more effectively where decisions are made."
