Montu builds communications team with senior appointments

Australian medical cannabis company, Montu, has appointed two senior communications leaders, with Adam Bell joining as Director of Communications and Tristan Everett stepping into the newly created role of Senior Manager - Corporate Communications.

Most recently Global External Communications Lead at Accolade Wines, Adam brings over two decades of experience in corporate affairs, journalism and government. He had previously led campaigns on sustainability, public health and diversity at The Coca-Cola Company, served as Press Secretary to the NSW Attorney-General and Minister for Health, and was a former journalist with News Corp and The Guardian (UK).

Tristan has led communications and issues management functions across various companies and consultancies in Australia, including NAB, Mercer, General Motors Holden, GE, Edelman and Automic Markets. His experience spans highly regulated sectors, including health, medical research, technology, aged and disability care, and advanced computing.

On the appointments, Montu's Vice President of Patient Advocacy and Corporate Affairs, Jodie Thomas, said: "Adam brings a rare combination of strategic insight, creativity and sharp media instincts. His experience at the intersection of global brand building, regulatory affairs and stakeholder engagement makes him a natural fit for Montu at this stage of our growth.

"Tristan's track record in multichannel communications in complex operating environments speaks for itself. He understands the nuance of healthcare communications and the importance of building trust in an evolving sector under increasing scrutiny. He'll be instrumental as we continue to lead the way on policy, safety and transparency.

"These appointments reflect Montus commitment to best-in-class communications, reputation leadership and sector-wide reform."
