Mars introduces new agency model; Weber Shandwick earns brand PR duties

Mars, Incorporated has announced the outcome of its six-month global agency review, following a competitive RFP process. Weber Shandwick is tasked with leading brand PR, while Publicis takes on its media, production, paid social and influencer, and connected commerce capabilities.A

The new fully integrated agency model - set to be named "One Mars" - will go live in January 2026, spanning six continents and more than 70 markets worldwide. It will be implemented across Mars Snacking and Mars Petcare, with Mars Food & Nutrition joining Snacking and Petcare in shifting its media business to Publicis. Meanwhile, Omnicom remains in charge of brand creative, which was not part of the review. T&P continues to lead brand creative for Food & Nutrition.

Commenting on this news, Weber Shandwick's APAC CEO, Tyler Kim, said, "This win reflects the power of global collaboration rooted in local brilliance. Our APAC team has long championed bold storytelling shaped by cultural insight, and we are proud to bring that expertise to life with Mars who has dozens of iconic brands across its Pet and Snacking business units. Mars is a company that invites creativity and purpose, and our teams across the region are energised to deliver work that resonates deeply and drives impact."
