Icon Agency (ICON) has elevated Tom Lock to Head of Queensland.
In the new role, Tom will continue to lead the agency's Queensland operations, while supporting national growth and driving activity across corporate, consumer, and government communications. He also remains responsible for the agency’s overall national consumer PR remit.
Since joining ICON in 2023, Tom has assisted in expanding the Queensland team and strengthening national client partnerships. He brings experience across both holding group and independent agencies, spanning various industries, including consumer brand, healthcare, finance, technology, tourism, retail, automotive, not-for-profit, and government. He has led work for brands such as Instagram, Schneider Electric, MyFitnessPal, Royal Canin, and Amplar Health.

Not-for-profit specialist engagement agency, Fifty Acres, has joined forces with conference convener, Arinex, to deliver the global Women Deliver Conference from the 27th April at the Melbourne Convention Centre.

Netflix has appointed Joy Albert as Vice President of Communications for the Asia Pacific region, effective 9th March 2026, as announced by Chief Communications Officer, Dani Dudeck.
Based in Singapore, Joy joins from Google, where she spent more than 12 years leading communications and public affairs across Asia Pacific for the Google brand and YouTube. Early in her career, she advised technology, media, and consumer goods brands across Asia and Europe, including FrieslandCampina, Burson, and Bertelsmann.
Alae Khaldi has joined Rosewood Hotels & Resorts as Cluster Director of Communications. Moving to Saudi Arabia from Bali, he is responsible for leading integrated marketing, communications, digital and visual content efforts for the pre-opening of several Rosewood properties: Rosewood AMAALA and Rosewood Red Sea.
In Bali, Alae was a Multi-Property Director of Marketing Communications for The St.Regis and The Luxury Collection. Before that, he was in comms roles with Banyan Tree Group in Thailand and Morocco.
