Google has promoted Gaurav Bhaskar to the role of Senior Director, Global Communications and Public Affairs, APAC. Based in Singapore, he steps up to lead Google’s regional communications and public affairs, succeeding Meenu Handa, who retired after nine years with the company, with a career spanning 35 years in leadership roles across Microsoft and Amazon.
In this role, Gaurav is responsible for developing and leading the execution of Google's external and internal communications strategy for the APAC region, including campaigns to raise awareness and strategic priorities.
Bringing nearly two decades of industry experience, he most recently led the company's corporate communications and public affairs for India, Southeast Asia, and South Asia.
