Abbey Toffolon starts her own consultancy

Abbey Toffolon has launched AT Communications, providing services including PR strategy development, event management, strategic commercial partnerships, corporate communications, influencer and talent outreach, content creation, brand positioning and messaging.

She has been in the PR industry for more than a decade, most recently as General Manager at onetwo agency. Abbey holds in-house experience in the health and retail sector (WelleCo and Swisse), as well as agency-side at AMPR.

Yujie Xue has joined Greenpeace East Asia as an International Communication Officer, based in its Hong Kong office. In her new role, she is responsible for the organisation's media outreach to international outlets, starting with promoting Greenpeace East Asia’s campaigns related to the ICT industry and automotive sector.

Yujie brings to her new role experience in journalism, including as Business Reporter at SCMP in Hong Kong, where she covered energy transition, electric vehicles, and other cleantech news. She also reported on the Chinese technology sector for SCMP's Shenzhen bureau. Prior to that, she was a tech reporter at Sixth Tone in Shanghai and People’s Daily Online in San Francisco.

Scott Roberts has commenced a role at the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia (ASFA) as Media and Content Lead. He was previously at BlueChip Communication for two and a half years, most recently as Associate Director.

Scott started his comms experience in South Africa, with in-house experience in the government sector and agency-side at Resolve Communications.

Wests Tigers score a new Media and Communications Advisor

The Wests Tigers have brought in Matthew Townsend as their new Media and Communications Advisor. He made the move to Concord after more than two and a half years as Media Manager for the Socceroos, a role which saw him work across all men's national teams.

Matthew has built up a career of 15 years spanning media management, strategic communications, brand management and digital across various sectors, including professional sports, health and wellness, and government.
