Zaina Kourki sets up Dubai-based marcomms creative consultancy

Zein Zone, a marketing communications creative consultancy, has launched in the UAE. Founded by Zaina Kourki, the agency supports entrepreneurs, creative communities, and organisations in the art, culture, and tourism sectors across the Middle East.

Zein Zone offers tailored communications that aim to resonate both locally and globally through multilingual, editorial precision, and human storytelling. Its services span PR and media relations, brand storytelling and editorial strategy, thought leadership and spokesperson positioning, content creation and campaign planning, recreational experiences and events, as well as cultural communications and tourism marketing.

“The Middle East is experiencing a cultural and creative awakening,” said Zaina, Founder and Managing Director of Zein Zone. “From heritage preservation and culinary innovation to immersive tourism experiences, the region is rich with stories that deserve to be heard. Yet many voices remain underrepresented or lost in translation."

"Zein Zone was born to bridge that gap, helping brands communicate with clarity, authenticity, and impact. Now is the time to nurture these sectors through thoughtful storytelling and strategic visibility.”

With 20 years of experience across the Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific, Zaina has led award-winning campaigns and helped shape brand narratives for global and regional organisations across both public and private sectors. Her expertise spans strategic marketing communications, media relations, editorial direction, spokesperson management, events, sponsorships, and digital-first engagement. She previously held senior roles at AtkinsRéalis, Majid Al Futtaim, Edelman, and Grayling Middle East.

Mutant expands service offering with launch of Mutant MICE

Mutant has expanded its service offering with the launch of Mutant MICE, a regional practice focused on meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) across Asia. The new unit formalises work the agency has been delivering across the business events sector over the past year.

Mutant MICE provides public relations, content, social media and stakeholder engagement support to organisers, brands, and destinations.

The agency said the move reflects increasing competition and complexity in Southeast Asia’s MICE landscape, with clients under greater pressure to demonstrate return on investment, including tourism and trade impact, delegate conversion and industry influence.

“The MICE sector sits at the intersection of business, culture, travel and economic opportunity, and brands and destinations need a communications partner that understands not just the event, but the ecosystem around it,” said Lina Marican, Regional Managing Director of Mutant. “Mutant MICE brings strategic clarity, earned creativity and on-ground discipline to help our clients stand out and scale their impact.”

Mutant MICE will support regional and global clients seeking a communications-led approach to business events. The agency was most recently appointed to support the Malaysian International Food & Beverage Fair and previously worked with events such as Business China, Tech Week Singapore, the Singapore International Film Festival (SGIFF), Cirque du Soleil’s KOOZA Singapore, and the Abu Dhabi Infrastructure Summit (ADIS).
