UNOPS strengthens global engagement with new comms officer

April Sirait has joined UNOPS as a Communications Officer, supporting strategic communications and global stakeholder engagement for the Forest and Climate Leaders’ Partnership.

Drawing on experience across media, environment and international development, she previously worked at CNN Indonesia TV, EcoNusa Foundation, and Nutrition International.

DARKHORSE grows its team and client portfolio

Brand experience and communications agency, DARKHORSE, has welcomed new appointments to its teams in Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore, alongside a new addition to its client portfolio. 

Maxine Reed (left) has joined the agency in Sydney as Experiential Director. She previously spent four years at Havas Red, where she led the Brand Experience team for clients including Lexus, Toyota, L'Oréal, Netflix, Tourism Tasmania, and AppleTV+. Prior to that, she spent five years in events and marketing roles at Amazon.

Auckland-based Olivia Muir (right) has also started as Experiential Director. The move follows three years at Mango Communications (now FleishmanHillard), where she worked on client accounts including McDonald's and New Balance. Prior to that, she worked on sponsorship and brand experience at Spark.

Rounding out the appointments, Elizabeth O’Leary (middle) has joined the DARKHORSE team in Singapore as Creative Director.

DARKHORSE has also been appointed to lead Veuve Clicquot's Clicquot Sun Lodge, following a competitive pitch.

Tom Carlisle is named Corporate Affairs Advisor

Tom Carlisle has been welcomed at Gladstone Ports Corporation as Corporate Affairs Advisor. He has finished a stint as Corporate Communications Manager at Golf Australia and the PGA of Australia. Prior to immigrating to Australia last year, Tom spent nearly a decade as a member of the comms team at the DP World Tour, following a career in journalism.
