Swissnex in China, the Science Consulate of Switzerland in China, has promoted Langyuan Ma to Communications Manager. In her new role, she assists with the development and implementation of multi-channel content strategies in the Sino-Swiss innovation research and education space. She also works with Swissnex Global to coordinate local partnerships, align communications strategies, and manages content exchange.
Based in Shanghai, Langyuan joined Swissnex in 2020.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) has appointed Agnes Tsang as Associate Vice-President (Communications and Public Relations) for a term of three years.
Overseeing the Office of Communications and Public Relations, Agnes is tasked with leading the University’s long-term communication strategy, strategic events management, community relations, and brand-building functions. She further supports senior management in internal and external stakeholder and partner relations.
Agnes was formerly the Head of External Affairs at Rosewood Hotel Group and Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group. Prior to that, she was the Hong Kong Director of an international communications advisory firm contracted for a HKSAR Government branding project, the Government Relations and Public Affairs Director of an international business chamber, and a Senior Researcher at the Central Policy Unit of the HKSAR Government.
Following roles at international risk consultancies, the LegCo, Hong Kong Standard, and Reuters, Agnes also supported strategic communications and policy advocacy for NGOs, including WWF Hong Kong and Mother’s Choice.
An alumna of the University, Agnes commented on her appointment, "It is my honour to return to CUHK to serve in a capacity that supports the University’s communications and public relations efforts. With CUHK’s rising academic and student excellence, there are many great stories to be told to share our positive impact and build closer connections with the community.

The International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) has announced that entries are open for the 2026 Gold Quill Awards.
The awards feature four divisions and 29 categories, recognising achievements from across sectors including agencies, corporations, start-ups, and non-profit organisations.“As communications professionals, we’re always looking to stretch ourselves and make a real impact. The Gold Quill Awards are about celebrating bold thinking and raising the bar for everyone in our field,” said Mandy Gibson, Chair of IABC’s Awards Committee.
The early bird deadline is 7 December 2025, and the regular deadline for submission is 18 January 2026.
