Sarah Quinlivan takes up promotion as Head of Communications

Nichola Warburton has stepped into the health sector and has joined Brisbane North PHN as Content Strategy and Communications Lead. She was previously in the construction sector as a communications and digital marketing advisor, following a career in journalism spanning local government, energy, lifestyle and more.  

Independent communications, public affairs, and research group, Sandpiper, has announced the appointment of Elizabeth (Liz) Egginton as General Manager, Australia and New Zealand.

In addition to leading Sandpiper's Technology Practice, Liz will now lead teams based in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, and Auckland, with a remit to continue growing Sandpiper's presence across the ANZ region. She succeeds Fran Boase, who now has an expanded remit as Managing Director and Global Practice Lead of Sandpiper’s Professional Services and Insurance Practices, and is taking on a broader strategic mandate to grow these practices across APAC and the Middle East.

Liz brings more than 25 years of experience in reputation management and corporate communications. This includes over two decades at IBM, where she led comms teams across the APAC region, managed brand reputation, and supported business growth.

Global ship manager and marine services company, V. Group, has appointed Richard (Rich) Rust to lead its global communications and marketing function. As the Group Director of Communications, he oversees all aspects of brand, reputation, and marketing activity for the business.

Based in Dubai, Rich brings more than two decades of communications and digital experience to this new role, most recently from DP World, where he served as Group Vice President - Communications. Prior to this, Rich held several in-house and agency leadership roles, including at Consulum, DCT Abu Dhabi, Edelman, and Ogilvy.
