The Public Relations Institute of New Zealand (PRINZ) has revealed its new executive committee, following elections at its AGM in May 2025.
The committee comprises newly elected members, Celia Crosbie APR and Travis Logan APR, who join returning committee members, Jacquie Boer APR FPRINZ, Morwenna Mitson-Grills APR, and Eruini Paranihi for the coming year. Morwenna has been elected as PRINZ Chair and Jacquie as PRINZ Deputy Chair.
Morwenna is a communications and engagement leader with a background in broadcast journalism. Her contribution to PRINZ include leading its Central Division Committee, providing mentorship to APR candidates, and judging the annual PRINZ Awards for the past five years.
Jacquie is a PRINZ Fellow and has 30 years of experience in advertising, journalism and public relations. She is currently the Principal of WPR, where she works with various clients across Aotearoa with a focus on providing reputation management across the infrastructure, forestry and agriculture sectors.
On her appointment, Morwenna commented: "I can't thank PRINZ members enough for the warm welcome and ongoing support I've had since arriving in Aotearoa ten years ago. As a migrant to this wonderful country, PRINZ was an excellent way to get to know people and learn more about what best practice looks like at a local level. To now be elected Chair is a real honour, particularly with such a fantastic group of practitioners on the Committee.
"It's always an exciting time for us in our profession, and right now there are a whole heap of opportunities alongside some tricky challenges to navigate. PRINZ will continue to do its best to be at the forefront of supporting members to be at the top of their game and continue to advocate for the value of ethical communicators."
