Nina Stevens has been welcomed at the Netball World Cup Sydney 2027 as Media and PR Lead. She has moved to comms from journalism after nearly four years as Sports Editor at 10 News Australia. Prior to this, Nina worked in comms within the government sector and in newsrooms at Seven, Nine and News24.
Cynthia Claytor has joined DLA Piper as Senior Communications Manager, APAC. Based in Hong Kong, she brings nearly nine years of marketing, communications, and media relations experience from K&L Gates, where she most recently served as Senior Manager, Public Relations & Media, covering Asia, Australia, Europe, and the Middle East. Prior to this, Cynthia was the Lead Editor of the Hong Kong Lawyer at Thomson Reuters.
Adam Cresswell has been appointed Director of Communications at Natural Hazards Research Australia, on a contract basis to mid-2027 as the organisation undertakes a recruitment process for a new CEO. He has wrapped up three and a half years as Head of Policy and Strategic Partnerships at the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia South Eastern Section.
Adam has held in-house roles within government and health sectors, following roles in journalism.
Yvette Hammerschmidt has stepped up at Thrive PR as Group Account Director. She has been at the agency for more than five years, most recently as Senior Account Director.
Yvette’s agency experience includes roles at Acuity Communications Advisory, Ovato Marketing Communications and Closer Communications.
