New marcomms director at The Ritz-Carlton Langkawi

Christina Vanugopal has been appointed Director of Marketing and Communications at The Ritz-Carlton Langkawi.

In the role, she will oversee the resort's integrated marketing and communications strategy, including brand positioning, public relations, digital and social media, content strategy, partnerships, events and crisis communications.

Christina brings close to 13 years of experience in luxury and premium hospitality marketing, with a focus on brand storytelling, integrated communications and strategic partnerships. She most recently served as Director of Marketing Communication at Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur.

Amy Capuano has been brought in as Head of Strategic Communications at Universities Australia. She was previously at The Australian National University for two and a half years, most recently as Head of Public Affairs. Prior to this, Amy was a speechwriter for various government departments, following a career in journalism at SBS Australia, the ABC and CNN in London and Hong Kong.
