Global entertainment company, Merlin Entertainments, has strengthened its communications team with a series of new appointments across the APAC region.
In Sydney, Rachel Anker has been promoted to Head of Communications - APAC. In this newly expanded role, she will lead corporate and public affairs, community relations, and internal and external communications across Australia and New Zealand, Mainland China and Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Singapore, and Malaysia.
Rachel first joined Merlin in 2017 and brings experience from both agency and in-house roles across the consumer, travel, entertainment, tech, B2B, and corporate sectors.
Alongside Rachel in Sydney, Claire Frawley has taken on the role of Communications Manager - APAC. She joined Merlin in 2023 and was previously PR Manager for SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium, Madame Tussauds Sydney, and Sydney Tower Eye.
In Melbourne, Liv Wilson has been promoted to Senior Communications Manager - ANZ, leading strategic communications for Merlin's 11 attractions across Australia and New Zealand. Over the past two and a half years, she was PR Manager for SEA LIFE Melbourne, SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast, SEA LIFE Kelly Tarlton's in Auckland, and LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Melbourne.
Meanwhile, Nina Zhang has been appointed as Communications Manager Gateway - China & Hong Kong. Based in Shanghai, she previously spent four years as Marketing Manager for Madame Tussauds Shanghai and Dungeon Shanghai. The new role will see Nina lead communications across Mainland China and Hong Kong.
