Lucy Mowat takes on new state government role

The Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC) has appointed Jonathon Larkin as Head of External Communications. He was at Telstra for 11 years, where he held multiple roles, most recently as Corporate Affairs Principal. Prior to this, Jonathon held comms roles at the City of Sydney and WWF-Australia.

New Zealand communications and engagement consultancy, One Plus One, has appointed Sean McCready as Media Partner. He brings experience from the media industry, having co-founded media agency, MBM, which was acquired by Publicis Groupe in 2019.

Sean is also the Founder of OPEN Financial Coaching and Advice and serves as a Strategic Advisor for ad-tech platform Youdoo.

Founder and Managing Director of One Plus One, Kelly Bennett, says the collaboration is an exciting development for the agency, giving existing and future clients access to Sean’s media insights, advice, and expertise.

"I've known Sean since we launched and reckon he has one of the best media minds in the country, so bringing his strategic nous into our firm is a real coup, frankly. We’re lucky to have him."

The AFL has welcomed Adam Todd as Senior Strategic Communications Manager. He has relocated to Melbourne from Adelaide, where he was Director Media and Communications for the Premier of South Australia.

Adam has also pursued a career in journalism at Network Ten and The Advertiser.
