ICON strengthens national leadership with key appointment

Icon Agency (ICON) has announced a key leadership promotion, appointing Georgina Rees to the newly expanded role of Executive Director, Brand, Creative and Communications.

The role brings together leadership across ICON's brand, creative and communications functions, reflecting the agency's view that these disciplines are increasingly interconnected in a shifting communications landscape.

Georgina brings experience leading multidisciplinary teams and will guide ICON's specialists under a single strategic vision.

In her new role, she will be responsible for ICON's national market positioning, strengthening cross-team collaboration, and delivering integrated, channel-agnostic solutions. Georgina will also be fostering a unified, inclusive culture that supports specialist talent.

In addition, she will serve as a senior advisor to clients, act as a visible ambassador for the agency, and drive strategic new business growth.

ICON's Managing Director, Joanne Painter, said: "Georgina's appointment is an important step in how we continue to evolve ICON's integrated service model and leadership structure.

"This new role provides a central point of strategic leadership across our key disciplines and reflects our commitment to continued innovation in how we partner with clients."
