FINN Partners has launched an AI-powered crisis training platform, CANARY FOR CRISIS.
Developed in-house by FINN's David Krejci, a crisis and misinformation specialist, CANARY FOR CRISIS features scenarios that mirror the speed and complexity of modern reputational threats. It builds on FINNs global crisis offering and intends to address the shift in crisis dynamics: while accidents and missteps still trigger reputational threats, today's crises can involve narrative manipulation and engagement-driven algorithms that reward chaos over context and drive reactionary traditional media coverage.
David, who also leads media forensics at FINN Partners, stated, "CANARY FOR CRISIS is a scrimmage for crisis teams. You get hit. You sweat. You make good plays and learn better ones. But more than anything, you come out better prepared for the real game. You stress-test your playbook rather than merely review it, and you've learned how to manage the new realities of today's disrupted ecosystem."
The platform's simulations feature scenarios including real-time media behaviours; AI-driven content; live pressure enquiries with reporter calls, emails, and breaking news responses; social media response training; narrative manipulation challenges including misinformation, trolls, and deepfakes; and safe learning environments.A
"Today's crises are more than managing facts - they are also about managing narrative control," concluded David. "CANARY FOR CRISIS trains teams to act with speed, clarity, and emotional intelligence before the narrative gets away from them."
