Emergent welcomes a new Senior Advisor

Emergent has appointed Malminderjit Singh (Mal) as a Senior Advisor. In this role, he provides strategic counsel to the strategic advisory firm's clients in navigating the Asia Pacific region’s evolving geopolitical and policy landscape.

Mal was previously Chief Operating Officer and Regional Director at Speyside Group, where he led the firm’s Asia Pacific operations. Prior to that, he headed the Singapore office of Penta Group. His career background includes advising political leaders and multinational companies on complex market entry and regulatory challenges. He has also served leadership roles in newsrooms and think tanks, and represented Singapore in trade negotiations that helped shape the region’s economic architecture.

Commenting on his appointment, "Asia Pacific is a major hotspot for geopolitical and technological competition, and the stakes are high. To succeed here, organisations need a clear understanding of the region’s diversity and fast-changing dynamics, and a strategy that factors in the balances of power and the importance of timing. I look forward to guiding innovative companies through this exciting region’s complexities and towards outcomes that matter."
