Eastwest PR joins forces with Eurocom Worldwide

Eastwest PR is now part of Eurocom Worldwide, the Global PR Network. The agency will represent Eurocom in Singapore and work with partner agencies in nearby Southeast Asian countries. This partnership will also support Eurocoms Asiacom Network, led by EMG China.

Naveen Kanagalingam and Raymond Lau have assumed full ownership of Eastwest PR in 2023 from Jim James, the former founder. Combined, they have close to three decades of integrated communications experience in Asia Pacific. The agency specialises in sectors like consumer and enterprise IT, sustainability and clean tech, as well as industrial B2B areas such as specialty chemicals and packaging.

As we continue writing the next chapter of Eastwest PRA with a new generation of leadership and energy, joining Eurocom Worldwide gives us the best of both worlds: the independence and agility of an independent agency, and the reach and reliability of a trusted global network. Through this partnership, we offer clients a single point of contact across Southeast Asia and access to hand-picked partner agencies worldwide who share our deep B2B and technology focus, results-driven mindset, and values-led approach, said Raymond Lau, Partner at Eastwest PR.

Deputy Chairman of Eurocom Worldwide, Mike Maynard, added, We are proud of having secured Eastwest PR as our member in Singapore. Our networks mission is to offer our clients the most dedicated B2B PR agencies in their local markets and we definitely value dedication and commitment above size with our members. Eastwest PR completely meets these expectations with regards to local capabilities, regional coverage, B2B expertise and global approach.

GWPR announces recipient of its 2025 Australia Mentoring Scholarship

GWPR Australia has announced Maya Ivanovic, Associate Director - Client Services at Palin Communications, as the recipient of its inaugural 2025 GWPR Mentoring Scholarship.

Delivered in partnership with Beaumont People, the fully funded scholarship provides Maya with access to Beaumont People's 6-month LEAD Program, designed to improve leadership capabilities, executive presence, and career development. The program includes personalised mentoring, strengths-based coaching, interactive masterclasses, and strategic networking opportunities.

The pilot scholarship initiative was launched to address what the organisation described as a critical gap in professional development, supporting early to mid-career women in PR and corporate affairs, a cohort it says is often overlooked by existing coaching and mentoring programs.

GWPR Australia launched the local mentoring program with CPRA and Beaumont People as a pilot program in early 2025, with an aim to make mentoring accessible, practical, and tailored to real-world challenges faced by women in the communications industry.

Chair of the GWPR Australia Mentoring program, Carden Calder, said: "The response from the women who applied, and who took our offer of feedback up, was shocking. Every single participant we spoke to cited a lack of mentors in the profession, the difficulty of accessing quality mentorship, and the gaping absence of programs that go beyond role-specific skills development."

Reflecting on her selection, Maya said, "The LEAD program is an opportunity for me to step out of my everyday and invest in my development with intent. I'm looking forward to learning and mentorship that challenges my thinking, explores different leadership styles, and exposes me to important feedback to help me build executive-level confidence and clarity."
