David Cooper takes up new role with the WA government

David Cooper has stepped away from the Premier's office in Western Australia to take on a new role as Chief of Staff to the Hon. Reece Whitby MLA, Western Australia's Minister for Police; Road Safety; Tourism; and Great Southern.

David had served as Media Director to the Western Australian Premier since 2021, initially under former Premier Mark McGowan, and most recently for Premier Roger Cook. Prior to his career in state government, he was a long-time journalist, including 16 years with 7NEWS Perth.
