Dave Gomez takes on government leadership role in the Philippines

The Presidential Communications Office (PCO) of the Philippines has announced the appointment of Dave Gomez as Secretary, under the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. He succeeds the role from Jay Ruiz.
“I am grateful to the President for the trust and confidence, and I intend to repay that trust with my 100 per cent commitment and focus on this role,” Dave stated.

“My role as PCO Secretary will be to communicate and socialize the programs and policies of the President minus the politics. This is what I call my 3Ps Minus One. Programs, Policies minus Politics,”

Looking ahead, he shared his vision for a more agile and digitally empowered PCO.

“I see the PCO as taking an active role in expanding the digital footprint of the administration. We intend to do this by advancing digital transformation within the PCO.”

Dave brings more than two decades of communications experience from Leo Burnett and Philip Morris, where he most recently served as Director of Global Communications. Previously, he also served as Director General of the Philippine Information Agency.
