Conor Burke swaps journalism for comms

Conor Burke has stepped into a new role as Communications Lead (Education) at the Australian Catholic University. Based in Melbourne, he made the switch into comms from journalism, where he was most recently Radio Producer at the ABC.
 
Prior to that, Conor worked in editorial roles across various publications, including The Daily Advertiser.

James Murphy has started Acorn Lane Group, an Australian communications consultancy providing senior, fractional communications services through to day-to-day project support across strategic communications, reputation management, media and communications training, and thought leadership and content development. Through Acorn Lane Group, James will be supporting work across Australia, Asia and the United States.
 
He was previously Director of External Affairs for the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads for two and a half years. Prior to this, James had in-house corporate communications experience within the finance and business consulting sectors in New York and Hong Kong, following a career in journalism.
