Conor Burke swaps journalism for comms

James Murphy has started Acorn Lane Group, an Australian communications consultancy providing senior, fractional communications services through to day-to-day project support across strategic communications, reputation management, media and communications training, and thought leadership and content development. Through Acorn Lane Group, James will be supporting work across Australia, Asia and the United States.
 
He was previously Director of External Affairs for the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads for two and a half years. Prior to this, James had in-house corporate communications experience within the finance and business consulting sectors in New York and Hong Kong, following a career in journalism. 

Evelyn Tay has taken on a new role as Sr. Director, Communications and Public Affairs, APAC at CHAGEE. Based in Singapore, she leads the company's PR and government affairs function, overseeing corporate reputation management, government affairs, and media engagements.

Evelyn brings more than 25 years of experience in the field, having worked at foodpanda, Tesla, and Uber across the technology, automotive, and retail sectors.
