Airbnb names APAC comms head

Sharon Chan has stepped into the role of Head of Communications APAC at Airbnb. Based in Singapore, she spearheads all communications activities for the company, including corporate branding and reputation, media relations, crisis management, social media and internal communications. 

Sharon has accumulated close to 20 years of corporate affairs and comms experience from international roles across Singapore, Hong Kong and the United States, having worked with companies such as Netflix, Alibaba, CMA CGM and CNN International.

Amnesty International Australia has appointed Andrew Beswick as Strategic Communications Manager. After a long previous stint at Amnesty managing campaigns and communications up until 2016, he has returned to lead media strategy and digital comms for its human rights campaigns.

Following his earlier tenure, Andrew went on to work in senior roles across the not-for-profit and government sectors, including at Oxfam Australia, Wyndham City Council and National Disability Services.
