Adam Gartrell begins a new role in the Australian Government

Adam Gartrell has been appointed Deputy Media Director to the Prime Minister of Australia, the Hon Anthony Albanese MP. He was previously Deputy Chief of Staff to the Australian Minister for Home Affairs, Immigration, Cybersecurity and the Arts, the Hon. Tony Burke MP.

Adam has held a number of senior leadership roles for politicians, following his time as a journalist. He previously worked across various Fairfax Media publications and spent more than a decade at the Australian Associated Press, where he held roles including as Canberra Chief of Staff.
