Access Communications wins PR mandate for retail brand

Christina Vanugopal has been appointed Director of Marketing and Communications at The Ritz-Carlton Langkawi.

In the role, she will oversee the resort's integrated marketing and communications strategy, including brand positioning, public relations, digital and social media, content strategy, partnerships, events and crisis communications.

Christina brings close to 13 years of experience in luxury and premium hospitality marketing, with a focus on brand storytelling, integrated communications and strategic partnerships. She most recently served as Director of Marketing Communication at Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur. 

Irani Basu has joined KONE as Southeast Asia Communications Manager, based in Kuala Lumpur.

In the role, she will lead regional communications initiatives across Southeast Asia with responsibility for external communications and thought leadership on modernisation, digitalisation, and sustainable urban development.

Irani brings more than 15 years of experience across the agency and technology sectors, with expertise in strategic communications, brand building, and stakeholder engagement. 

Jacob Penfold has commenced a role as Senior Communications Manager at DEC PR. He was at Watterson for two years, most recently as Senior Consultant. Prior to this, Jacob was at Hotwire, The P.R. Group and Herd MSL.
