Singapore-based corporate consultancy 8PR Asia has appointed Shirley Wong as Partner, strengthening its senior-led advisory offering across value communications, investor relations and capital-markets communications. Her appointment comes as 8PR Asia joins the eligible service-provider panel for the Elevate Grant under SGX’s Value Unlock programme, strengthening the firm’s work with listed companies on investor relations and value communication.
At the consultancy, Shirley focuses on two areas: value communications and investor relations, helping companies sharpen how value is articulated and understood by the market; and cross-border capital-markets and financial communications, supporting issuers navigating transactions, listings and entry into new markets.
She also works with exchanges, issuers, investors and other market participants to strengthen investor relations and improve engagement across the capital-markets ecosystem.
Shirley brings more than 15 years of experience across in-house and advisory roles in Asia, spanning investor relations, corporate communications and strategic counsel. She previously served as Head of Strategic Communications at OUE Healthcare and Investor Relations Director at 17LIVE. Shirley has also worked with international consultancy Kreab and boutique consultancy Cogent Communications.
Alex Tan, Founder and Partner of 8PR Asia, said, “Shirley brings deep investor relations experience, strong strategic judgement and an in-house commercial perspective. Her appointment strengthens our ability to support clients on complex communications and capital-markets situations, while staying true to our senior-led, hands-on model.”
Shirley said, “As communications becomes more automated, human judgement becomes the premium layer. That is what drew me to 8PR Asia. In investor communications, the goal is not just visibility, but relevance and resonance with the people who shape how a company is understood and valued.”
